Brimar was established in October 1988 as a manufacturer of Pipe Markers and Valve Tags for the Plumbing and Mechanical Contracting Industry. The name Brimar comes from the Founder and President Brian Costello.

Brimar has a state of the art 30,000 square foot manufacturing plant located in Garfield, New Jersey. The facility employs 40 people. The manufacturing processes include:

UV Screen Printing, Flexographic Printing, Digital Printing, Computerize Vinyl Graphics, Computerized Engraving, Computerized Metal Stamping, Film Lamination, Thermal Forming, Die Cutting, and numerous punching, bending, cutting operations.

Brimar has grown from a one product, one industry company with a 10 page catalog to a complete one stop source for industrial identification products of all types. We currently supply many of the fortune 100 companies and thousands of large, medium, and small manufacturing companies with safety signs, decals, tags and other identification solutions. We have divisions that provide identification solution in six industries, which include: Mechanical Contracting, Electrical Distribution, Facility Safety, OEM Identification, Security Identification, and Bulk Mail Labeling

Brimar takes pride in the products we manufacture and in the customer service philosophy we have developed over the years. Our products are the best quality in the industry and our staff is trained to listen carefully to your needs and then to clearly and thoughtfully present you with a solution, even if we are not the source. Members of the customer service team receive 4 weeks of training prior to answering their first phone call. Two weeks of that training is on the shop floor. During the training process there are 6 competency tests and a final exam to insure they’re knowledgeable before they talk to anyone.

Brimar’s goal is to the best supplier of identification products in the world, and to do that we recognize the need to be, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and competitive. We also realize that the best is usually not the biggest or the oldest. The best is determined one customer at a time consistently day after day, order after order.

Brimar released the new pipe marker catalog in June of 2001, it contains 25 pages of pipe markers and approximately 25 pages of safety signs that contractors would find helpful.

Brimar is currently working on the design of a new 200 page catalog that will be released in October of 2002. Until then we ask that you use this web site as our full line catalog.
